Job Summary:

As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Penn Highlands Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will administer local, inhalation, intravenous, regional, neuraxial, and other anesthetics to induce total or partial loss of sensation or consciousness in patients during surgery, deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures.

You will work primarily in an Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model, enjoying a high degree of autonomy and a broad case mix that includes cardiac, thoracic, vascular, neuro, general, ortho, plastics, ENT, dental, urology, GI, limited pediatrics, gynecology, and obstetrics.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CRNA to join our team, who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our experienced peers.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthetics to patients undergoing surgery, deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) to provide high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in anesthesia care
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment that fosters collaboration and teamwork

Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Satisfactory completion of a course of training in an accredited school of nurse anesthesia fully recognized by the American Association of Nursing Anesthetists
  • National board of certification or recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) certified
  • Healthcare provider (BLS) certification at time of hire
  • ACLS certification at hire, or must obtain within 12 months of hire date
