Job Summary:

The HVAC Installer/Technician is a critical role at US Main, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential new construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform residential and commercial service calls independently with high accuracy.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Perform test and fire off procedures of AC/Heat pumps, AHU's, RTU's, ERV's, and ventilation equipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform final punch and quality check of mechanical rooms AC/Heat pumps, AHU's, RTU's, ERV's, and ventilation equipment.
  • Identify problematic calls and utilize the HVAC Project Manager/Superintendent as needed for efficient time and cost management strategies.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager/HVAC Project Manager at the beginning and end of every day/service call and any schedule changes throughout the day to ensure team productivity.
  • Coordinate materials, parts, and equipment needed through Project Managers.
  • Understand and display compliance with R.T. Moore Quality Standards and Best practices.
  • Ensure the service vehicle provided is clean and well-maintained with the appropriate parts stocked and well-organized, ensuring that parts used are tracked daily.
  • Prompt submission of accurate and legible service invoices and time sheets.
  • Be available for OOT assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • Motivated work ethic.
  • Clear verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Basic mathematical ability, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret reports and documents, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to problem-solve independently.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • 4 years of experience installing HVAC in both commercial and residential new construction.
  • EPA certification is required.
  • NATE certification is preferred but not required at this time.
