Job Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, delivering, and maintaining a highly scalable set of products and applications. This role requires a strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-quality software using best-practice data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, architects, principal engineers, software engineers, test automation team, and DevOps engineers.
  • Participate in architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities on application software.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for all developed software.
  • Test and ensure quality of all code developed, utilizing test automation frameworks wherever possible.
  • Participate in code-reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor software engineers.
  • Collaborate with Engineering leadership, Product Managers, Designers, Test Automation, and other teams to define, prioritize, sequence, and scope business and functional requirements.
  • Instrument infrastructure and application performance monitoring, capacity management, alerting, tools instrumentation, and metrics management.
  • Perform impact assessment of product upgrades.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects.
  • Support and collaborate with other Engineers through evaluation, design analysis, and development phases.
Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Java language knowledge for building services and microservices.
  • Implementing design patterns, algorithms, and applying innovative methodologies.
  • Oracle Database interaction technologies such as Hibernate, JDBC, and/or SQL.
  • Git/GitHub or any other distributed version control systems.
  • Jenkins, CloudBees, and/or CI/CD systems.
  • IVR Technology and VUIs (Call Flows) knowledge.
  • Contact Center operations and technologies knowledge.
  • Telephony and multi-channel capabilities knowledge.
  • Nuance MIX and/or Genesys Pure Cloud knowledge.
  • UI framework knowledge such as Angular, React, and/or Node.
  • Natural Language and Voice Biometrics knowledge.
  • AGILE, JIRA, and Confluence experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and drive for excellence.
