We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Travel Nurse to join our ICU Resource Team/Float Pool at Emerald Health Services. As a Critical Care Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and cardiac rhythm.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, including vasopressor drips and titration.
- Perform advanced life support skills, including intubation, ventilation, and cardiac arrest management.
- Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations.
- Document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in a 200+ bed, level 1 trauma hospital.
- Experience titrating vasopressor drips and managing critically ill patients.
- EPIC EMR experience.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
