Public Transportation Specialist

Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Bus Operator to join our team. As a Bus Operator, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to our riders under the general supervision of Operations Supervisors.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of buses and make necessary adjustments or corrections before moving buses.
- Operate buses following designated routes and schedules, adhering to established safety standards and traffic laws.
- Collect and process fares, issuing day passes as needed.
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to riders and the general public.
- Assist with boarding and disembarking for riders with disabilities and others who need assistance.
- Communicate emergency conditions, accidents, or unusual incidents promptly and accurately via bus radio.
- Take control of security incidents or accidents until emergency personnel and/or Operations Supervisor arrive.
- Complete required reports and forms accurately and promptly.
- Working knowledge of customer service techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and the general public.
- Oregon driver's license required; Oregon commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred.
