Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pretrial Case Manager to join our team at Jefferson County, Colorado. As a Pretrial Case Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting adult defendants released on bond, ensuring their compliance with court-ordered conditions, and providing resources to help them navigate the pretrial process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor defendants' compliance with court-ordered conditions, including electronic monitoring and curfews.
  • Interview defendants, prepare individual supervision plans, and explain court orders and requirements.
  • Collect and process pretrial supervision fees from defendants.
  • Refer defendants to community-based agencies for supportive services, substance abuse testing, and monitored sobriety/treatment services.
  • Administer and report portable breath test alcohol results as requested by judicial officers.
  • Work with the fugitive partnership group to locate missing defendants and initiate court proceedings to modify or revoke bond release.
  • Review and analyze reports from community-based agencies to ensure defendant compliance.
  • Serve as a 24-hour on-call case manager to respond to electronic monitoring equipment issues and possible travel violations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, criminology, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum one year of work-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain requirements and document detailed case notes.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities, with a strong sense of self-motivation and a personal commitment to high performance.
  • Comfortable with technology, including the ability to navigate databases, accurately enter data, and type case notes and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish speaking.
  • Previous pretrial case management experience.
