Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will evaluate patient speech and language abilities, plan and provide rehabilitative services for speech, language and dysphagia disorders, and participate in the development of the Physicians Plan of Care.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient speech and language abilities, both defects and assets
  • Plan and provide rehabilitative services for speech, language and dysphagia disorders
  • Participate in the development of the Physicians Plan of Care
  • Develop, document, implement and re-evaluate patients' Plan of Care
  • Record clinical/progress notes to the patients clinical record weekly
  • Record type of treatment and patients reaction to it
  • Reports progress and/or regression
  • Maintain adequate records on all patients
  • Utilize community resources and agency personnel by proper referral
  • Select and administer diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and materials
  • Instruct and counsel other health team personnel and family members in methods of assisting patient in improving, correcting and accepting his/her disabilities
  • Plans for patients discharge, prepares discharge summaries and instructions
Requirements
  • Has a Masters or Doctoral Degree in Speech-language Pathology or Audiology and who has preferably one (1) full year of supervised work experience
  • Must hold the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Must be currently licensed as a speech-language pathologist in good standing in the state of Colorado
  • Must be able to communicate in the language of the client and document client related activity as appropriate
  • Possesses adequate and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess adequate and effective interpersonal skills
Compensation
