Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team at Michael Page. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and understanding EHS standards, local regulations, site procedures, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and analyze EHS data for record keeping and trend analysis.
  • Investigate EHS incidents, identify corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
  • Participate in audits, facilitate training, and maintain employee EHS files.
  • Provide EHS information to customers and vendors.
  • Engage in EHS meetings, manage workers' compensation and return-to-work processes, and oversee the Drug & Alcohol program.
  • Trial training content, provide feedback to EHS leadership, and ensure compliance with EHS policies.
  • Support diversity, inclusion, positive employee relations, teamwork, and budgetary adherence.

Requirements:

  • Well-rounded EHS Professional within the manufacturing sector - strong for both environmental and safety tasks.
  • Passionate EHS employee who is driven and a great communicator.
  • Associate degree.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a warehouse/manufacturing/industrial environment with site-wide responsibility for environmental safety and health.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory and training experience.
  • Technical/professional certifications.
  • Experience in metal or electronics recycling or related industries.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and EHS data management systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at multiple levels and manage change.
  • Self-starter with resilience, independent work capability, and strong attention to detail.
  • Organizational, analytical, and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental programs such as Stormwater, SPCC, wastewater, air permitting, and hazardous waste.
