Program Overview
This initiative serves as the leading engineering division responsible for the design and implementation of IT systems that enable the Agency to fulfill its objectives. Our organization has maintained a strong partnership with this Government Client for over a decade, with some of our personnel having provided support for more than 14 years, establishing us as a trusted and essential collaborator. The goal of this initiative is to create and deploy critical IT systems that facilitate timely information sharing. The program encompasses all aspects of technology, including Microsoft, VMWare, DataCenter Architecture, Citrix/Virtual Desktop, Application Provisioning, and Identity and Access Management. This includes comprehensive engineering across Desktop, Server, Applications, Virtualization, SharePoint, SQL, Exchange, Active Directory, ADFS, ESX, Storage, LDAP, Linux/Red-Hat, Oracle Identity Suites, Oracle Access Manager, Radiant Logic, and notably, the integration of Cloud technologies - specifically AWS/C2S and Azure in both Commercial and Government environments, as well as the adoption of Azure within Secret and Top Secret networks. The client is currently undergoing a comprehensive modernization initiative across their IT framework. This modernization encompasses the service offerings related to Infrastructure as a Service, Software as a Service, and Platform as a Service.

Team Overview
The core team of this program consists of advanced Tier Engineering and Support services related to Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to SharePoint Online, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Exchange and Exchange Online, Azure AD Connect, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and SAML Authentication within Azure IL2 - IL5 (DoD 365), IL6 (Secret), and IL7 (Top Secret). The team is dynamic and technically adept, collaborating closely to meet the diverse requests of our Government Client.

Role Responsibilities
As a Microsoft Engineer, you will be tasked with the design, implementation, and management of both physical and virtual Microsoft SQL & SharePoint Online Servers , ensuring adherence to security protocols and vendor best practices within a distributed IT environment.
  • Engineering, documenting, delivering, and maintaining Microsoft SQL versions 2005 through 2017 in line with customer specifications and security standards.
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex performance, security, and technical challenges associated with the platforms mentioned.
  • Creating implementation and design documentation that outlines the security features in place.
  • Engaging in processes throughout all phases of the ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests and resolving Incident tickets.
  • Conducting requirements analysis, design, and integration for all platforms listed.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior systems engineers and SQL database administrators.
  • Investigating and resolving operational issues in collaboration with other engineering and technical staff.
  • Integrating and designing SQL instances in both virtualized and physical settings.
  • Demonstrating knowledge and experience in implementing fault-tolerant database solutions.
  • Designing database solutions for disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Implementing DISA STiGs for databases.
  • Supporting applications reliant on SQL databases, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Additional responsibilities may include requirements specification, performance modeling, end-to-end functional analysis, cost estimation, and collaborative application design.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, including:
    • 3-5 years of SQL Administration and Design experience.
    • 3-5 years of SharePoint Online Administration and Design experience.
  • CompTIA Security+CE or equivalent for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification.
  • MCSA, MCSE, or other equivalent SQL Server certification is required.
  • Experience with MySQL is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems, including DNS, Group Policy, and PKI.
