Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at VIP Community Services. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our clients, ensuring their optimal health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to clients, including administering medication, observing clients for signs of intoxication, and documenting medical records.
  • Assist clients in following their prescribed plan of care, promoting an atmosphere of professionalism, cooperation, respect, and dignity in all interactions.
  • Facilitate the orderly performance of agency functions by observing policies and standards of conduct.
  • Perform tasks and responsibilities within the framework of casefinding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive to or restorative care under the direction of the registered professional nurse.

Requirements:

  • Current NYS LPN License
  • Current NYS Infection Control Certificate
  • Minimum one year experience as an LPN, preferably in a substance abuse treatment program
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all populations served
  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
  • Proficiency with computers

Job Requirements/Setting:

The ideal candidate will possess sight and digital senses or prosthetics that will enable the essential functions of the job to be completed.
