The Department of Biomedical and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking part-time Adjunct Instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Pharmaceutical Sciences. This posting aims to establish a strong pool of candidates for immediate and future teaching opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant science field with experience in pharmaceutical sciences for some undergraduate courses (doctoral degree preferred).
  • Doctoral degree in a relevant science field with experience in pharmaceutical sciences for all graduate courses and some undergraduate courses.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
Additional Considerations
  • Candidates with previous teaching experience at the university/college level will be given priority.
  • Candidates with qualifications to teach in multiple areas will be given priority.
Special Instructions to Applicants

This is a part-time, non-benefited position under the Union of Adjunct Faculty, Local 1596, UAW. Please include a current CV and cover letter with your application. The names and contact information of three references may be requested upon completion of a screening interview. Submission of a teaching philosophy, teaching evaluations, and evidence of teaching is optional.

Applicants will be reviewed as needed until a hire is made. The position may close within one year if no one is hired, at which time the posting would be refreshed to rebuild the adjunct pool.
