We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at R E Garrison Trucking Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Engine Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and system testing to ensure engines are running efficiently and effectively.
- Diagnostic and Repair Services: Troubleshoot and repair complex engine issues, including transmission and clutch problems, to minimize downtime and ensure vehicles are back on the road quickly.
- Trailer Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and perform repairs as needed to ensure trailers are safe and operational.
- Electrical and Suspension Work: Diagnose and repair electrical system and lighting issues, as well as perform suspension work to ensure vehicles are handling properly.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Diesel Mechanics or related field preferred. Previous experience as a diesel mechanic or service technician highly desirable.
- Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; good attitude and strong work ethic.
