**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conduct thorough assessments of offenders to determine their needs and develop effective treatment plans
* Collaborate with supervisors and other professionals to ensure continuity of care and achieve therapeutic goals
* Provide individual and group counseling to offenders, focusing on addiction, co-dependency, and related disorders
* Conduct evaluation tests to determine offender needs and make referrals to contract professionals as needed
* Maintain confidentiality of offender information and review status of offenders
* Attend scheduled staff meetings and promote communication between administration, staff, and offenders

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
* Four years of full-time wage-earning experience in substance abuse treatment
* Current licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor by the Texas Department of State Health Services or equivalent
* Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record
* Must successfully complete a TDCJ-approved Correctional Awareness Training (CAT) and annual in-service training requirements
