Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that patient needs are met and goals are achieved.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of patient outcomes by participating in quality improvement initiatives and sharing best practices with colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in critical care nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Previous ICU experience required.
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification and ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC certifications as required by the unit.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet patient needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Experience working in a CVICU or similar critical care environment.
- Advanced certification in critical care nursing (CCRN) or equivalent.
- Leadership experience, including charge nurse or preceptor roles.
