Innovative cardiac procedures, such as the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), allow us to perform heart valve replacements without the need for invasive surgery.

Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
Pharmacist Associates play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and precise preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products within Dominican Hospital. This position guarantees that medication orders align with contemporary medical practices, FDA regulations, and drug manufacturer guidelines.
Pharmacist Associates address any discrepancies with the Medical Staff in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
They also offer essential information and guidance regarding the proper administration of medications to healthcare providers, patients, and their families.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- A minimum of two years of experience in health-systems pharmacy or an equivalent educational background.
- Graduation from an accredited pharmacy school with a focus on health-systems pharmacy.
- Completion of a one-year internship/externship or two years of relevant work experience in health-systems pharmacy is required.
- A current and valid California Pharmacy License is mandatory.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required for pharmacists scheduled to work in critical care units (otherwise preferred).
Preferred:
- Pharm D degree.
- A valid driver's license.
Skills:
- Basic proficiency in personal computers, preferably Windows/DOS based.
- Understanding of how computer systems function and their interconnectivity within the healthcare sector (e.g., Cerner, Omnicell).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
