Position Overview:

The Early Childhood Communication Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the communication skills of young children through direct intervention and family coaching. This position is dedicated to fostering developmental progress in children by collaborating with families and other professionals in an interdisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct assessments to determine children's eligibility for services and their specific needs.
  2. Provide expert clinical insights to assist in the formulation and execution of individualized service plans.
  3. Engage in the ongoing evaluation of the service plans to ensure they meet the evolving needs of children and families.
  4. Deliver direct communication therapy and support to children and their families in a timely manner.
  5. Coach parents and caregivers on effective strategies to enhance their child's communication skills within everyday activities.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and outcomes achieved.
  7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and address the needs of children and families.
  8. Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Strong understanding of child development and effective communication strategies.
  • Experience working with young children, particularly those with developmental delays.
