We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Northern Nevada Medical Center. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for administering and implementing speech and language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients referred to speech and language pathology treatments to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury.
- Assist patients in obtaining maximum performance and function in society while learning to live a routine "normal" life within the constraints of their disability.
- Participate in performance improvement activities within the department and contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
- Ensure personal competency and provide information related to departmental budget considerations in relation to speech pathology needs for optimal patient care and service.
- Assist in scheduling patient visits for speech pathology evaluation and treatment, and perform administrative duties as delegated by the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
- Holds a master's degree from an approved college or school of speech and language pathology.
- Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology (as a Speech Pathologist).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
