Role Summary:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will utilize advanced ultrasound technology to conduct a range of diagnostic and patient care tasks focused on individuals with cardiovascular conditions. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  1. Providing comprehensive pre- and post-procedure patient care, including assessments and emergency cardiac interventions.
  2. Ensuring that all ultrasound equipment is properly calibrated and maintained, documenting maintenance activities and quality assurance measures.
  3. Generating high-quality ultrasound images of cardiac and vascular structures, performing complex studies for patients with intricate health issues.
  4. Conducting vascular assessments and providing real-time readings during both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
  5. Performing studies for neonatal, pediatric, and inpatient populations.
  6. Offering training and educational support to fellow sonographers, acting as a resource for advanced techniques.
  7. Documenting patient information accurately and managing report storage systems efficiently.
  8. Preparing procedure rooms and equipment for daily operations, ensuring a smooth workflow between patient procedures.
  9. Responding independently to on-call requests for urgent procedures.
Qualifications

Education:
Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a twelve-month ultrasound program.

Licensure/Certification:
Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry-eligible with the requirement to obtain registration within one year of hire.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience in an acute hospital environment is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
Specific competencies as required by the organization.
