  • This is a hospital employment position that offers the full array of otolaryngology care and practice development opportunities.
  • We are primarily looking for a board-certified/board-eligible general otolaryngologist for inpatient and outpatient coverage.
  • The hospital is a level 2 trauma center.
  • There are three outpatient surgical centers with potential investment opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Education/Training: Utilize literature and attend regional and national meetings to remain current and professionally competent.
  • Liaison: Participate in liaison duties with other professional staff and develop patient referral sources.
  • Patient Care: Provide direct and indirect patient care to assigned areas, supervise residents and medical students, and participate in clinical research projects.
  • Professional Standards: Model and uphold professional standards, including the Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice standards, physician expectations, and professional image standards.
  • Quality and Safety: Participate in medical audits, quality improvement programs, investigations, peer review, and other inquiries relating to professional care standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a Medical School recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board.
  • Experience: Completed residency training and fellowship training as required.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registry/Listing: Board certification recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association in the primary medical specialty or subspecialty.
