Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Per-Diem Registered Nurse to join our team at Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As a Per-Diem RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and performing various nursing procedures.
  • Assess and document resident needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their physical, psychosocial, and rehabilitative needs.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Supervisor, Head Nurse, and Resident Care Coordinator to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Supervise and direct Nursing Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • Participate in fire and disaster drills, and demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Comply with all State Department codes and requirements regarding nursing care and documentation.
Requirements
  • Current New York State RN license.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Knowledge of age-specific developmental factors and ability to provide care that meets the physical, cognitive, and socialization needs of adult and geriatric residents.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Resident's Bill of Rights.
