Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our team at Northern Light Mercy Hospital, specifically in the OB-GYN Unit. About the Role

The Registered Nurse II will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients, families, and communities, promoting health, preventing illness, and advocating for patients' rights. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and compassion.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant research, best practices, and industry developments, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and promote organizational excellence.

Requirements

  • Degree in Nursing (RN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Maine.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a related field or specialized area (OB-GYN Unit).
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift, move, and load 30-50 pounds.
  • Availability to work alternate shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Salary and Benefits

Our competitive salary range for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Credentials and Education

  • Required: Registered Nurse license and High School Diploma/GED.
