Overview

Concentra is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician to join our patient care team. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients. Our mission is to improve the health of America's workforce, one patient at a time.

Responsibilities

As an X-Ray Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing patients for radiologic procedures, escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, and providing verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Operating radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Using radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members.
  • Maintaining all x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
Medical Support Specialist Duties

In addition to your X-Ray Technician duties, you will also be responsible for:

  • Performing Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
  • Preparing patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing.
  • Assisting providers during examination and treatment.
  • Performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinicians.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A high school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Certifications and/or licenses, including completion of a state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license by the state in which employed, if applicable.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
Job-Related Experience

Customarily, you will have at least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
