Actalent, a leading engineering and sciences services firm, is in search of a highly qualified and experienced Senior Process Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team on a fully remote basis.

Job Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will engage in essential wastewater, industrial, and environmental infrastructure projects. Your primary responsibilities will include leading design initiatives in wastewater treatment facilities, water purification systems, advanced treatment processes, and pumping system designs.

Projects will vary in scale from medium to large, where you will be accountable for generating design calculations, P&IDs, and technical drawings.

You will oversee a team of engineers, reviewing engineering calculations and designs pertinent to wastewater treatment and pumping systems.

In addition, you will prepare specification documents and technical reports for various municipal water and wastewater initiatives while collaborating with drafters and designers on construction documentation.

Your role will involve leading design efforts and working alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects. Participation in project meetings and contributions to project planning and execution will be expected.

You will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain it within 6 months
- Experience as a Task Design Lead or in a similar capacity
- Proficiency in preparing construction documents, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical reports for various municipal water and wastewater projects
- Familiarity with design software such as Autodesk Revit or similar tools
- Capability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.


Work Environment:
This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while supporting significant wastewater treatment projects. You will be part of a Process Mechanical Group consisting of 75 professionals, managed by a Group Discipline Leader. The team comprises 12 engineers and 4 designers utilizing BIM and CAD technologies.
