Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver (Part-time) to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal Care and Support
    • Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Provide assistance with feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring
    • Foster positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates
  • Safety and Environment
    • Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment
    • Assist with toileting, including bedpans, urinals, and commode chairs
  • Medication Administration and Health Care
    • Remind/assist clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training)
    • Document services provided and report changes in client condition or family situation to the office
  • Household Management and Transportation
    • Perform home management functions, such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning
    • Plan meals, shop for groceries, prepare and serve food/meals, and clean up
    • Accompany clients to scheduled appointments and transport clients or run errands as needed
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
    • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of care services
  • Requirements
    • High school degree/GED required (in most cases)
    • 18 years of age or older
    • Valid driver's license (in most cases)
    • Ability to work in a group home, home-like settings
    • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel
    • Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
    • Must maintain state regulatory certifications, as required by state/program requirements
