Los Alamos Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
- Document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Current NM RN license or appropriate compact licensure
- BLS and ACLS current upon hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)/ENPC obtained within six (6) months of hire or transfer into position
- Competitive hourly rate: $52.00 per hour
