Nurse - Family Medicine Clinic

MU Health Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinic Nurse to join our team at Capital Region Medical Center Family Medicine Clinic. As a key member of our patient-centered approach, the ideal candidate will possess attributes such as empathy, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence in nursing care.
Responsibilities- Assess patient conditions and nursing needs, set goals, and prescribe appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals and patient needs.
- Assess, intervene, and reassess patient self-report or symptoms of pain promptly, utilizing an appropriate tool for assessment and reassessment.
- Demonstrate an understanding of medications with regard to action and side effects, reporting pertinent information to the appropriate individual and educating patients and significant others about their medications.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions in accomplishing goals and intended patient care outcomes, maintaining standards of nursing care and implementing policies and procedures of the hospital and department.
- Participate in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups, reporting pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate person and recording those observations accurately and concisely.
- Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, rotating shifts, and holiday and work during inclement weather.
