Occupational Therapist - CHT Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist - CHT to join our team at Select Physical Therapy. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients, caregivers, and facilities in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with a range of conditions, including hand and upper limb injuries and disorders.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions and treatments to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in student clinical affiliation programs and contribute to the development of new programs and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure or registration as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
  • National registration as an Occupational Therapist - CHT.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Valid state driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the day.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to evaluate, diagnose, and monitor patient needs.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
