POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves delivering exceptional service to guests by preparing high-quality beverages and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes, but is not limited to the following):
  • Consistently prepares quality beverages, whole bean products, and food items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Adheres to health, safety, and sanitation protocols for all offerings.
  • Provides outstanding guest service by prioritizing guest needs and establishing connections.
  • Identifies and addresses guest requirements proactively.
  • Keeps the workspace organized and tidy to facilitate resource accessibility for team members.
  • Complies with operational policies and procedures, including cash handling and safety measures.
  • Assists in training new staff by positively reinforcing effective performance and offering constructive feedback as necessary.
  • Maintains composure during busy periods or unexpected situations to uphold service standards and set a positive example for colleagues.
  • Utilizes proper transaction procedures and documentation.
  • Ensures accurate cash handling and reconciliation with the cash cage.
  • Completes cash turn-in sheets and distributes them as required.
  • Embodies the company’s core values, including family-style service, mission, and vision.
  • Promotes a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Performs additional job-related tasks as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to quickly learn and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a capacity to work collaboratively and build relationships.
  • Understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both staff and guests.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS (May be necessary to perform essential functions of the position):
  • Work is conducted in environments that may be hot, cold, noisy, or smoky, with potential for slippery surfaces.
  • Tasks may be performed in confined spaces with limited access.
  • Involves the use of solvents, oils, and chemicals.
  • Requires operation of electrical equipment, including coffee machines, microwaves, blenders, and other mechanical devices.
  • Frequent interaction with staff and guests.
  • May be exposed to smoking environments and moderate noise levels.
  • Involves occasional bending, reaching, and lifting of up to 75 lbs.
  • Regular standing and repetitive use of hands, including light grasping and manual dexterity.
  • Position requires access through a designated entrance, which includes navigating stairs.
  • Normal vision and hearing are necessary.
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols, perform basic tasks, and follow instructions accurately.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: Must demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests, possess excellent communication and observational skills, and maintain a friendly demeanor to foster a safe and enjoyable environment. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. Flexibility in scheduling is required, which may include working on weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.
