Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Senior Electrical Systems Engineers are integral to KLA's technology. While we may not currently have an opening, we are continuously building our community of Electrical Engineers and are eager to learn about your expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with functional teams to define requirement specifications necessary for developing electrical/electronic systems.
  • Contribute as part of a technical development team to design electrical sub-systems from initial concept to production release.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, packaging, and production.
  • Oversee technical project planning, including timelines, milestones, budget estimates, and design reviews.
  • Design mixed-signal electronic systems, including schematic capture, simulation, and layout review.
  • Create test plans and conduct testing, technical analysis, and root cause analysis to validate design performance at both bench and system levels, including hands-on testing, specification validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with a BSEE, or 3-5 years of experience with an MSEE. Solid understanding of electrical system design principles, including analog/digital and mixed-signal design, computer electronics, etc.

Demonstrated technical project management skills and a strong grasp of engineering design phases and deliverables. Proven track record of driving execution and excellent problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated team player capable of managing and collaborating with internal and external customers and suppliers. Ability to work with a global engineering team. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, soldering tools, etc.

Knowledge of board-level FPGA/CPLD, motor/motion controls, power electronics, camera systems, and image acquisition is advantageous.
