Dermatology LPN - Ambulatory Care
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dermatology team in an ambulatory care setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and staff, and contribute to maintaining high-quality standards of care.
Responsibilities:- Provide physical care and emotional support to patients and families under direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and Medical Director.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and treatment plans.
- Observe, report, and record pertinent patient information into the electronic health record system in accordance with Dermatology Service protocols.
- Support and reinforce patient teaching plans, educate patients about proper use of medications.
- Administer medications within parameters defined by Dermatology Service after successful orientation.
- Perform nursing procedures within the parameters defined by the Dermatology Service.
- Photograph patients with various skin conditions using a variety of photographic procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities; supports peers and colleagues in maintaining established standards of care.
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Attends Nurses Association meetings.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and service excellence.
- Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential.
- Ability to work independently and interact easily with physicians, other managers, and staff throughout the department and hospital.
$68,000 - $82,000 per year
