Job Description

The Registered Nurse Float Pool at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is responsible for providing direct patient care while adhering to the Registered Nurse Practice Act. This role involves assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care needs, administering medications, and ensuring a therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Monitor and record patients' conditions, communicating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A registered nurse degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within six months of hire.
  • At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
