About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Lead APP (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our team at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. As a key member of our emergency department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless and efficient care.

Job Summary:

The Emergency Lead APP will be responsible for assessing patients' medical conditions, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. You will work closely with our emergency medicine physicians and nursing staff to ensure timely and effective patient management. Your expertise and leadership skills will be instrumental in maintaining high-quality patient care standards and contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' medical conditions, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians and nursing staff to ensure timely and effective patient management
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care plans and share best practices
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing staff and other healthcare professionals

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing Practice
  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Alabama
  • At least 2 years of experience as an APP in an emergency medicine setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
