Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paramedic to join our team at AMR. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and emergency medical services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Respond to Emergency Situations: Utilize your expertise to assess each call situation and determine the best course of action, working within progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Provide Advanced Medical Care: Utilize medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids, to provide advanced medical care to patients.
  • Communicate with Patients and Families: Communicate effectively with patients and their loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
  • Lead Paramedic Teams: Act as a team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
  • Operate Ambulances: Drive ambulances on 911 responses.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow Paramedics.
Other Responsibilities
  • Community Outreach: Participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and establish strong community relations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Licensure: State Paramedic License
  • Driver's License: State Driver's License
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
  • Driving Record: Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Physical Agility: Pass Physical Agility Test
  • Work Experience: Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
