Hematologist/Oncologist for Locum Tenens Position

A mid-sized healthcare facility is in search of a qualified Hematologist/Oncologist to provide locum tenens coverage. This role involves working in a supportive environment with a dedicated team.
Schedule:
The typical workweek is Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with additional weekend call responsibilities and inpatient rounding duties.
Electronic Medical Records:
The facility utilizes EPIC for patient documentation.
Credentialing Time:
The credentialing process is expected to take approximately 60 days.
Board Certification:
Candidates must be board certified in Medical Oncology as a minimum requirement.
Call Ratio:
The call ratio is set at 1:4, ensuring a balanced workload.
Patient Load:
On average, the physician will manage 10-15 patients per day.
Assignment Type:
This is an inpatient assignment with a focus on adult patient care.
Consultation:
New consults are expected to be around 1-2 per day.
Support Staff:
The physician will work alongside floor nurses and hospitalists to ensure quality patient care.
Licensing:
The facility is open to candidates with a West Virginia medical license.
