Senior Geologist

APTIM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Professional Geologist to join our Solid Waste Services Group in California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leading projects related to stormwater compliance, hydrogeologic and geotechnical investigations, environmental compliance audits, and solid waste reporting.

• Lead teams and projects, providing technical oversight and quality control
• Anticipate client needs and identify solutions, utilizing skills and knowledge to solve complex problems
• Evaluate geologic and hydrogeologic conditions, providing analyses and leading regulatory compliance reports, work plans, and special studies
• Prepare and manage scopes, budgets, and schedules, coordinating with contractors and clients
• Collaborate with other team members, attending client meetings and providing technical concepts and evaluation results

• BS/MS in Geology, with a license to practice as a Professional Geologist in the State of California
• 10-15 years of experience in landfill/solid waste, with a strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and as a self-starter
• Knowledge of statistical evaluation methods and experience with Sanitas software is a plus
