Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to lead the company's coal and energy finance operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate coal supply and transportation agreements with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the administration of coal contracts and transportation logistics for PacifiCorp's power plants.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize coal asset utilization and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and testimony on behalf of the company.
  • Support the company's regulatory process by responding to data requests and providing expert analysis.
  • Lead a team of finance professionals and provide guidance on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement financial models and tools to support business decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of seven years of directly related experience, including at least three years of supervisory or functional management experience.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to establish objectives, execute policy, and manage resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and direct employees.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Controller, accounting, and/or finance experience in an operating mine.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced degree and/or CPA designation.
  • Experience in SAP Financial Systems modules.
  • General understanding of utility economics and accounting, as well as utility commission rules and regulations.
What We Offer

PacifiCorp offers a competitive salary range of $126,700 - $149,000, as well as an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 20.00% of salary. We are an equal opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion.
