Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Providence Health & Service. As a key member of our home health care team, you will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, promoting independence and improving their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and cognitive abilities, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient progress.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the state of California.
  • 1 year of experience as an OTA in a home health care setting, preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
