Job Summary

ADESA is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Lot Team, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles on and off our premises, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of vehicles in support of auction activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Operations: Safely drive vehicles to and from designated areas, observing auction driving rules, rules of the road, and demonstrating courteous and defensive driving principles.
  • Vehicle Management: Verify VIN of cars being picked up and delivered against transportation requests, line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the Lot Manager or Team Leader.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Inflate tires, jump-start vehicles using a battery box and air tank, and notify the Lot Manager when vehicles are inoperable.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers, such as dealers, account reps, and co-workers, as needed, and perform walk-arounds on each vehicle prior to moving it, noting any damage.
Requirements
  • Basic Computer Skills: Ability to use basic computer software.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Driving Requirements: Valid driver's license, ability to operate both automatic and manual vehicles, and a clean driving record.
  • Age and Insurance: Must be at least 18 years old and insured, or insurable, by the state.
