Psychiatrist - Correctional Health Care

VitalCore Health Strategies, a leading provider of correctional health care, is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, MA.
Job SummaryThe Chief Psychiatrist will provide diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients, as well as psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients. The successful candidate will also provide clinical direction, general supervision, and training to site staff, and have other managerial responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Provide onsite psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of inmates referred by medical and clinical services staff.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and individual and group therapy.
- Provide written summaries of patient history, diagnosis, and treatment course.
- Collaborate with site staff to ensure effective delivery of psychiatric services.
- Participate in training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Graduate of medical school with completion of psychiatric residency.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Virginia and certified by the Office of Behavioral Health to provide psychiatric services in a licensed inpatient unit.
- Current DEA number.
