Building Maintenance Specialist

SUMMARY: The role involves addressing all necessary maintenance tasks as designated, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include a variety of carpentry and maintenance duties, assisting with residential renovations, performing drywall repairs, basic electrical work, appliance diagnostics and repairs, as well as service-related tasks such as landscaping and driveway maintenance. Additionally, the position encompasses siding repairs, installations, deck maintenance, staining, painting, and enhancing the visual appeal of residential properties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are essential to the role. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance of facilities, grounds, machinery, and equipment in accordance with established blueprints, manuals, and regulations.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance monthly, including quarterly inspections and tests of fire safety systems.
- Follow the designated work schedule and work order system to ensure optimal efficiency, prioritizing emergency requests before addressing older requests.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in residential and light commercial maintenance. Candidates should possess maintenance mechanic skills, including structural repairs, machinery maintenance, and basic electrical and plumbing knowledge. A valid NY State Driver's License with at least 12 months of driving experience is also necessary.
