Job Summary

Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to fill the role of Regional Chief MRI Technologist. This leadership position will oversee the daily operations of MRI clinical services in the North region, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Direct the activities of staff MRI Technologists, manage daily operations, and coordinate with senior leadership to achieve departmental goals.
  • Scheduling and Time Management: Prepare and administer monthly schedules, ensure adequate staffing, and approve or deny time-off requests.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety: Ensure MRI safety protocols are followed, staff receive training, and all necessary equipment is available.
  • Training and Development: Provide training for new employees, update existing staff on new policies and procedures, and address performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Clinical Operations: Perform scanning procedures, evaluate patient safety, and consult with radiologists to implement proper scanning protocols.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete daily work schedules, document required forms, and monitor patient flow.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, report discrepancies, and advise office administrators on maintenance needs.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: ARRT MR registry or ARMRIT registry, with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to direct a work force, and initiative to set high standards of performance.
