We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to pregnant patients during labor, obstetrical emergencies, and other obstetric conditions.
- Assist and educate patients with labor and delivery conditions, providing comprehensive pregnancy and postpartum education.
- Collaborate with the patient's designated care partner to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.
- Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
- Coordinate the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- ADN Nursing Degree required; Current RN nursing license in good standing with the Nevada State licensing board.
- Minimum of one (1) year post-graduate nursing experience in ICU, NICU or Med/Surgical preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE & Fetal Monitoring required.
- Excellent medical, dental, vision & prescription drug plans.
