About the Role

The Rapid Response Team (RRT) Nurse is a critical member of our healthcare team, responsible for coordinating patient care during emergency situations. As a Rapid Response Nurse, you will work closely with medical staff, nursing staff, and other disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to RRT calls and coordinate patient care during emergency situations.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, nursing staff, and other disciplines to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Document patient care and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develop and implement clinical practice guidelines for RRT.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and conduct follow-up as required.
  • Assess patient and family needs and provide education as required.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Manager to recruit and retain staff.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives designed to promote quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing; current licensure as a professional registered nurse in the State of Georgia.
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing practice in a critical care environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Inter- and intra-departmental coordination of patient care activities.
  • Delegation skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task essential.
  • Ability to function in stressful and emergency situations essential.
  • Strong detail orientation required.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Personal time management skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support credentials.
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support credentials.
  • National certification in critical care nursing preferred.
  • NIHSS certification required.
