Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Inventory Management Coach to join our team at Walmart. As an Inventory Management Coach, you will be responsible for leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. You will tour stores and provide feedback, communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Your primary goal is to drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L (Profit & Loss) statements. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

This role requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates. You will also be responsible for providing supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring of associates; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing associate recognition; communicating expectations consistently and effectively; ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness; and recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
  • Tour stores and provide feedback.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations.
  • Review and evaluate P&L (Profit & Loss) statements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  • 2 years' of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
