Position Overview:

The Tire Quality Assurance Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to vendor policies and procedures. This position is essential for guaranteeing that the credits received align with those issued to our customers. Additionally, the inspector will support the Warranty Manager in the adjustment process related to mergers and acquisitions and will possess a solid understanding of Hunter mounting and balancing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent compliance with all vendor policies and procedures.
  • Verify that credits received are accurately reflected in customer credits.
  • Conduct routine inspections of tires and tubes, determining if further action is necessary.

Collaborative Partners:

  • Manager of Adjustments
  • DBD/General Managers
  • Directors of Operations
  • SVP Operations

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in tire and wheel inspection is preferred, along with relevant work experience to operate under general supervision.
  • Alternative qualifications may be considered at the company's discretion.

Essential Skills:

  • Understanding of profit and loss calculations and basic business finance to ensure accurate credit management.
  • Proficiency in various software systems including HPV, On Base, Tel-Net, Oracle, and others.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical bulletins and internal reports, as well as NHTSA regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tire and wheel inspection protocols.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills for monitoring credits and resolving issues.
  • Familiarity with current materials, methods, tools, and equipment, particularly Hunter mounting and balancing machines.
  • Strategic thinking and innovation to support the company's goals and objectives.
  • Effective planning and execution skills to identify and address root causes of problems, collaborating with various departments for optimal solutions.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, and occasionally lifting up to 150 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception.
  • Work environment exposure to weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
  • Some travel may be necessary.
