The Role

The Chief Accounting Officer will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including financial reporting, general ledger management, and cost accounting. This individual will also ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements and coordinate with external auditors to resolve audit issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including financial reporting, general ledger management, and cost accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to resolve audit issues.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and job cost systems.
  • Direct financial planning and budgeting processes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • Active CPA certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the energy industry.
  • Prior public accounting experience.
  • Proven experience in coordinating with external auditors and managing SEC reporting.

Estimated Salary: $260,000 - $320,000 per year
