AHEAD USA is seeking a skilled Configuration Technician to join our team.

We are a leading provider of digital business platforms, and we are looking for a talented individual to help us build and configure computer servers, identify and troubleshoot computer hardware, and install and configure operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and configure computer servers by analyzing data sheets and system requirements provided by the engineering team
  • Identify and troubleshoot computer hardware
  • Install and configure operating systems; Windows and Linux
  • Flash BIOS and other firmware
  • Configure network switches
  • Follow platform documentation and production defaults in order to properly apply customer-specific, order-specific, and hardware-specific software
  • Help other departments as needed
Requirements:
  • One to two years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
  • Basic experience with server or networking equipment
  • Ability to build and configure computer servers by analyzing data sheets and system requirements provided by engineering and sales
  • Great attention to detail
  • Work well with others and demonstrate a great work ethic
  • Work well under pressure
  • Meets set deadlines and goals
  • Able to work independently
  • Maintain 5S standards
  • Communicate any issues to supervisor
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math
Preferred Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with computer hardware
  • Experience with various operating systems, Linux preferred
