We are seeking an experienced Tax Managing Director to co-lead our fast-growing High Net Worth/Private Client Service Practice for the New England business unit.
Key Responsibilities- Lead engagement teams and interact with clients and family office personnel to ensure timely service.
- Develop, nurture, and manage client relationships by providing timely and appropriate communication and services.
- Be viewed as a trusted personal and business advisor by clients.
- Direct multiple engagements, including consulting, compliance, and tax planning services.
- Consult with client service teams to design and implement innovative planning ideas for clients.
- Guide and manage IRS and state audits.
- Participate in new business development activities, including prospecting, networking, and representing CBIZ at industry events.
- Design and deliver technical training on individual-related tax topics.
- Recruit, supervise, train, develop, and motivate less experienced team members.
- Promote a team environment and demonstrate support of management decisions.
- Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive tax planning and consulting experience and demonstrated expertise in taxation and knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated success providing consultative services to high net worth individuals and families.
- Market-leading technical expertise in individual taxation with a strong working knowledge of trust, estate, and gift taxation.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and team members.
- Track record of successful new business development experience.
- Excellent analytical, supervisory, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and continued interest in developing and mentoring junior team members.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- 10 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
- 10 years of supervisory experience.
- Must have CPA or equivalent certification.
- Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments, and prioritize each assignment as necessary.
- Proficient use of applicable technology.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
- Proven high level of business integrity, client service, and leadership skills.
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $200,000-$600,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
