About the Role

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review consultation requests and consult with radiologists as necessary.
  • Complete departmental processes for resulting and documentation of exams.
  • Pleasantly greet patients, confirming their identification and introducing yourself.
  • Explain examination procedures to patients and their families.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all equipment in the Nuclear Medicine department.
  • Prepare, calibrate, and document radiopharmaceuticals for administration.
  • Perform in vivo and in vitro diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures.
  • Maintain a daily activities log and ensure proper storage and ordering of supplies.
  • Monitor and report supplies in shortage and special order items.
  • Perform visual preventive safety inspections and conduct daily quality assurance tests.
  • Evaluate recorded images for technical quality.
  • Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self.
  • Recognize emergency situations and initiate code procedures.
Requirements
  • One year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to keep confidential information regarding patients and team members.
  • Able to withstand crisis situations.
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
Credentials and Education
  • Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification.
  • ARRT-N or CNMT Nuclear Medicine Technology certification.
  • Associates Degree in a related field.
