Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in the success of Baker Distributing, responsible for the inventory management and daily transfer of HVAC freight and materials in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pick and verify orders for customers, meeting production standards set by management.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure accuracy and completeness of products received, picked, and shipped.
  • Load and unload products in trucks for delivery to customers and/or other sales centers.
  • Receive, inspect, and stock all merchandise, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Prepare orders for shipment as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Perform daily maintenance checks on trucks and forklifts, reporting any issues to management.
  • Assist management with inventory counts and provide daily upkeep of the warehouse, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Warehouse and/or forklift experience desired, with appliance lift experience a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work within daily deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license required, with proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding English to ensure compliance with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures.
Work Environment

The Warehouse Associate will work in a warehouse/storeroom and sales center environment, subject to various weather conditions. The position requires frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as the ability to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods. The employee may use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, and must be able to utilize heavy machinery.
